Easy Ways to Eliminate Eye Bags

0

Hollywood is the home of many glamorous movie stars whom we often remember for their good looks and unique features. But as far as I know, none has been immortalized for eye bags except Peter Lorre.

Today’s generation of moviegoers may no longer remember Lorre but the Hungarian actor and director portrayed many memorable characters at the height of his career. Aside from being cast as a sinister and wicked person in Hollywood crime films and mysteries, the late great actor is also fondly remembered as the Japanese detective Mr. Moto and the first James Bond villain in the first Bond movie Casino Royale.

What set Lorre apart from other actors were his unforgettable voice, look, and mannerisms. One of his striking features were his eye bags that became his “signature” mark when animators later emulated and did impressions of Lorre in various cartoons like Ren and Stimpy, Secret Squirrel, Stingray, and Digimon. It was a classic case of art imitating life as the characters in those short films had big eyes and equally big eye bags – much like Lorre’s!

Unfortunately, not everyone with eye bags ends up as a famous or celebrated actor like Lorre. For most people, eye bags, puffy eyes, and dark circles under the eyes are bothersome cosmetic problems that look terrible and make you look older than you really are. These problems are often associated with allergies, aging, fluid retention, too much salt or alcohol, excessive crying, smoking, pregnancy, menstruation, and lack of sleep.

“There isn’t room for fatty layers around the eye sockets because this would get in the way of our ability to move our eyes and see. So skin around the eyes is thin and gets thinner with age – allowing the blood vessels and darker shadows of bone to show through,” according to Dr. Trisha Macnair of BBC Health.

“The most common cause of those dark bluish circles under the eyes is congestion around the nose. You see the veins around the underside of the eyes drain into the veins of the nose. When your nose becomes congested or is blocked up, those veins become restricted and the flow of blood is reduced. This causes the flow of blood under the eyes to slow. The veins under the eyes become engorged causing them to swell larger and appear darker,” added the AskDocWeb.com.

While they aren’t serious medical problems and often clear up on their own even without any treatment, eye bags, puffy eyes, and dark circles can be embarrassing and annoying. Besides, who wants to wait until forever for them to disappear completely when you’re attending that big party with all your friends tomorrow?

To look good, get enough rest, drink enough water, stop smoking, and avoid allergens that trigger nasal congestion like pet dander, pollen, house dust, and certain foods like milk and chocolate. Use an extra pillow or two to elevate your head while sleeping to prevent fluid build up. Reduce your salt intake and be wary of food and drinks that contain too much salt.

Cool cucumber or potato slices placed over closed eyes for a few minutes can also help. If you’d rather eat the cucumber or potato, another alternative is cotton balls dunked in cold milk. After squeezing the milk from the balls, let them rest on your closed swollen eyes for a few minutes. A cold compress will also do the same.

One popular product that can revitalize your eyes is Eyevive. When used as directed, Eyevive moisturizes, strengthens, and thickens the skin around the eyes to help reverse the signs of aging that can lead to eye bags, dark circles, swollen eyes, fines lines and wrinkles. Put back the sparkle in your eyes with Eyevive. For more information, visit http://www.eyevive.com.

3 Proven Ways to Get Rid of Dark Circles and Bags Under Eyes

0

There are 3 ways to get rid of dark circles under eyes and baggy, puffy eyes.  You probably don’t all 3 eye conditions but just follow the suggestions in this article and they will disappear or be greatly reduced.

Way #1:  Get Plenty of Sleep

We have all heard that need to get 8 hours sleep every night.  That is sound advice but not always easy to do. All of us are busy with work, play and just life.  But  we must find or make the time to get our needed res.  If you don’t dark circles will begin to show up.  Now if you have puffy eyes you need to do the following.

Way #2:  Drink Plenty of Purified Water

Yes, we all have heard this one many times too.  Drink 8 glasses of water every day.  Also good sound advice.  Take into consideration water that comes from food, like fruit and vegetables. But note this:  Don’t drink or consume just any water.  The water should be purified water.  Water filtered properly.  Tap water  can be contaminated.  A good water filter source that I found is at a website called CleanWaterPure.com.  They have more information than I have room for here.

Also if you are a little older your puffy eyes and dark circles may result from damage to your capillaries.  This has probably happened gradually as the years have went by.   The capillaries are just not moving the fluid under your eyes like they used to do.  Part of the reason is that the skin is thinner under the eye than in other parts of your body.  But here is a way to fix that.

Way #3:  Eye Gel or Cream Can Really Help

Of course, it must not be just any eye gel.  Let me elaborate just a little here.  Bear with me it will really open your eyes.  (pun intended).

Peptides, also known as protein fragments, encourage the production of new fiber and skin cells.  This makes the skin under the eyes thicker.  Also some eye gels contain antioxidants that are plant based.  These antioxidants promote circulation which help reduce dark circles.

Combining antioxidants and peptides have produced some amazing results.  65% of all the volunteers in one  study had remarkable baggy eye reduction.  62% turned in a reduction in eye wrinkles and crow’s feet.  60% said that dark smudgy spots were gone.  I found one company that had this or better results and has an eye gel that contains all natural, safe ingredients.

Here’s What I Suggest You Do

Depending on your general health condition and the reasons for hindrances to your appearance, do the 3 things suggested above: Get Some Regular Sleep; Drink Plenty of Purified Water and Use an Eye Gel that is safe and natural.  If you do these things, according to clinical studies, you should get rid of dark circles and puffy eyes in less than two month on the average.  However, using the wrong eye gel can make your appearance worsen.

Avoid Bad Ingredients

Some expensive department stores use cheap ingredients in their skin cream products.  Avoid these ingredients to name a few: petrolatum, mineral oil, parabens, fragrances, artificial preservatives.

Once again, Get proper Sleep, Drink good water and Use an Eye Gel like the one I found that is natural and safe. For more in depth details on using safe, natural eye gel see my website. – Margaret Bell

The 5 Best Ways To Naturally Reduce Puffy Eyes and Dark Circles

0

As we age and sometimes even when we’re young, puffy eyes and dark circles can be a hassle. Under eye circles and puffiness can be cause by a number of factors ranging from genetics or poor lymphatic drainage to sleeping position and even a poor pillow. Before even considering any sort of surgical procedure or chemical injection, consider some of the best all natural alternatives around. Many of these treatments have been around for years and some of them are just popping up, but they all have one thing in common; they can effectively reduce puffy eyes and dark circles, without any harsh side effects or the need to go under the knife.

1. Cucumbers
Cucumbers are widely regarded as the original puffy eye treatment. Lie down in a comfortable and relaxed position, put on some of your favorite music, and place two thin slices of cucumber over each eye for about 10-15 minutes. Do this at night after you take a shower to promote maximum nutrient absorption. A sweet potato works as well.

2. Rose Water
Using a sterile cotton or wool pad dipped in cool rose water and placed under the eyes for 10-15 minutes every day can dramatically reduce dark circles. If used on a daily basis for a few weeks rose water can completely eliminate dark circles.

3. A Quality All Natural Eye Gel
Eye gels meant to reduce puffiness and dark circles have been around for a while, but many of these are made with harmful chemicals that can actually be quite harmful to the tissue surrounding the eye and the eye itself. When looking for an eye gel, first off look for a product made with all natural ingredients like Haloxyl, which is used to break down discoloration and Eyeliss which is meant to increase lymphatic drainage and capillary permeability.

4. Tea Bags
A used, cold teabag placed under the eye at night before bed can reduce under eye puffiness. Regular tea should be used to benefit from Tannin, a natural astringent found in tea that keeps the skin around the eye nice and tight.

5. A Good Night’s Sleep/Hydration
I put these together because they are the two most overlooked causes for a bunch of problem other that puffy eyes and dark circles.  Getting the proper amount of both sleep and water, this oddly enough is 8 hours of sleep, and 8 glasses of water, daily. Getting the proper amount of water and sleep will do more than take your dark puffy eyes away.

You can choose to do all of these or try each one and find out what works best for you. As with any treatment, nothing is instant. Be patient and give it some time. The more you stress about not seeing results the longer it’ll take to see them.

5 Ways To Free Yourself From Puffy Eyes

0

You do not want to have dark circles and puffy eyes when your special someone stares at you. Do you? Who would want that? Even though we hate it, sometimes it is really inevitable to develop puffy eyes. Your type of job, stress levels, hormonal changes and allergies are just some factors.

There are a lot of eye creams available in the market but some can be very costly. Often times, they do not work at all. So here are simple and inexpensive natural remedies you could try at home.

1.    Tea Bag. It seems like tea is not only great in cleansing our body but also a wonderful solution to your puffy eyes. If you are not a tea lover, you do not have to worry because you will not drink it. Grab 2 tea bags (you can use green tea, black tea or even chamomile). Make sure your tea is caffeinated, because caffeine helps lessen the swelling. Soak your tea bags for about 3-5 minutes, then take them out and let it cool for a while. When you think you can bear its heat, lie down and put the tea bags over your eyes. Cover with a cloth and leave it there for a couple of minutes.

2.    Potato. Here is another delicious way to get rid of tired eyes. No, you will not eat them but you can leave some for your hash browns or mashed potato. The humble potato is believed to help in relaxing inflammatory ailments, headaches and painful joints. Its starch acts as an anti-inflammatory agent that will relieve the tiredness in your eyes. To get this started, peel and wash one potato. Dry it a bit and grate the potato. Get a clean and soft cloth and then make a poultice. Place them on your eyelids for about 15 minutes.

3.    Cucumber. This is the most common remedy for tired and puffy eyes. To make it more effective, put the sliced cucumbers in the refrigerator first before putting them on your closed eyes. Their coolness will soothe those puffy eyes of yours. Leave them on your eyes for at least 5-10 minutes.

4.    Egg-whites. Egg-whites help tighten your skin which is why some people use it as an alternative for facial masks. However, it is also the answer to your puffy eyes dilemma. Get a bowl, put some egg whites in it and whisk it until it becomes stiff. Add some witch hazel then brush it beneath your eyes. Let it settle and dry. After a few minutes, you can rinse it with water.

5.    Spoon it. This utensil is not only used in eating but also a great therapy for your swollen eyes. Put 6 spoons in a refrigerator. Let them stay inside for at least an hour. When they are cold enough, get a pair and place them on your eyelids. Its cold metal will soothe your puffy eyes and help calm down your blood vessels. Replace the spoons when it becomes warm. Do this over and over until your eyes look gorgeous again.

Amazing Ways to Deflate Puffy Eyes

0

When you look yourself up at the mirror and find that your eyes look like they are carrying the weight of the world under them, your whole day will just not feel right anymore. Having puffy eyes is just not something that you are willing to wear to the office or school unless you are born with it. In a way, having puffy eyes is like having a big zit on your nose, only you can’t pop the puffiness. Thus typically, you really do not have to lose your hair over your puffy eyes.

Although, they pose nothing more than cosmetic problems, there are severe cases where eye puffiness may require surgical adjustments. And in some other occasions, eye puffiness can be a symptom of some serious diseases such as those connected with thyroid glands or kidneys.

But for the most part, the puffiness is a result of your activities during the previous day; for example, if you ate a lot of salty food or you bent your head down for too long, there is a good chance that your eyes will be puffy the next day. Still, you can solve your eye puffiness within a few hours if you just know how. But before deciding to cover up your puffy eyes with sunglasses and concealer, you should fist try to reduce the bags on your eyes with some tried and tested remedies.

Light Massage

Eye puffiness is usually caused by excess fluids trapped in your eye area. By lightly massaging both your upper and lower eyelids, you shove all those excess fluids away from your eyes. This is actually a basic touch therapy that many people are not aware of, but dermatologists and other skin experts have used this technique to improve the appearance of their client’s eyes.

Cold Splash

As mentioned, having puffy eyes can be nothing more than a problematic fluid circulation in your face. An easy and cool way to bring back your eyes to their normal appearance is to splash cold water directly on your eye area and the rest of your face. The cold temperature of the water is all you need to jumpstart the fluid circulation in your face.

Tea Bag Patch

Try using teabags. Two teabags moistened by cold water and patched on your puffy eyes for five to ten minutes can reinvigorate your eyes and hold off the puffiness. Again, the coldness of the teabags can help to increase circulation in your face. But more than that, tea has tannin that can also help in tightening the skin in your eye area; thereby, effectively decreasing the bulge in your eyes.

Take Medication

Sometimes, eye puffiness can be caused by factors other than fluid circulation in the face. For instance, if you are having your menstruation, your body may retain more fluids at the onset of your period; hence, our eyes may become puffy. If this is the case, take over-the-counter diuretic medications to help flush out excess fluids in your system.

If your eye puffiness is due to an allergic reaction, over-the-counter antihistamine medicines can help flatten the puffiness. Usually, you will know that the swelling around your eyes is caused by an allergic reaction if the puffiness is accompanied by itchiness and redness around your eye area.

These quick-fix measures can greatly help you in taking off the extra baggage around your eyes without you batting an eyelash. But just in case your eye puffiness is a little bit harder to deflate than you first thought, you can always apply makeup to cover the swelling. You can also treat your eyes with creams like Eyederma for a more lasting solution to eye puffiness. For more information, you can click on www.Eyederma.com
